WHY WEBYCOD?

There are hundreds of web studios in the world. Many of them are genuinely good.
So why WEBYCOD?
Because behind every studio is a story.
And it's the story that shapes everything - how we work, what we value, and where we're headed next.

THE BEGINNING

Dima had been searching for work for several weeks. His wife was expecting their second son in less than a month. He was beginning to wonder if the right opportunity would come at all.

One Friday evening, scrolling through job listings, he came across a small web agency. The role was project manager - a position he had no direct experience in, though the field was already familiar to him.

It wasn't the job title that caught his attention. It was something else - the values listed in the posting felt genuine, like they actually meant something. Without much expectation, he wrote a sincere, personal letter directly to the founder.

The founder wrote back.

THE FOUNDATION

That reply became the beginning of a collaboration where Dima found exactly where he belonged.
At that close-knit, family-run Kyiv agency, Dima grew into a true specialist - delivering 25+ large-scale corporate websites, promo projects, blogs, and national e-commerce stores. Hard work. Real responsibility. Real results for real clients.

THE WAR

Two years later, on what began as an ordinary morning, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

That day, instead of going to work, Dima and the agency's founder joined Ukraine's defense forces without hesitation. Clients we loved wrote to ask "How are you?" - and the agency quietly saw all active projects through to completion.

The years that followed were not easy. Dima took part in many battles. He was wounded. And eventually, he completed his military service.

He came back.

And with him came a clarity that's hard to arrive at any other way - about what truly matters in life, and what doesn't deserve a second thought. Do everything as well as you can, and do it honestly. That's what his Christian faith, found in the hardest of circumstances, taught him. It became the foundation of everything he does.

THE RETURN

After returning, Dima joined another strong agency team - a company with high-level professionals, real ambition, and projects worth caring about. Over the following period, he delivered 30+ projects, mostly e-commerce. His expertise deepened.

At some point, a thought that had been quietly forming became a decision.

Not to build a large agency. Not to chase volume or push projects through a pipeline. But to start something smaller and more intentional - a studio where every client gets the attention they deserve, and every project is built with that client's long-term success in mind.
That's how WEBYCOD was born.
